- They created this alliance to address SAF production challenges, including high costs and limited feedstock options, while aiming to accelerate industry decarbonization.
- The alliance will introduce an integrated solution based on the Fischer-Tropsch process using biomass and municipal waste, reducing project startup time by over 15% and capital costs by up to 10%.
- Ken West of Honeywell emphasized that this partnership highlights how working together can effectively tackle global energy challenges, while Norbert Kamp of GIDARA highlighted that it enables the recovery of value from waste to support the increasing demand for sustainable aviation fuel.
- This collaboration aims to accelerate global SAF deployment and support energy security amid increasing SAF demand and evolving biofuel markets expected to meet over 40% of biofuel demand by 2030.
