The process of general elections in Honduras has taken a new direction after the National Congress approved an initiative for a new ballot.
The initiative for the counting of more than 19,000 electoral records was presented by a militant of the Free Left Party.
The proposal was endorsed at a plenary session of the legislature and provides for a 100 per cent count of the minutes of the November general elections.
