For many residents of Quesnel, the stirring sound of bagpipes drifting across a parade route or community gathering is a familiar reminder of local tradition. At the heart of that sound is Lisa McCargar, pipe major at the Quesnel Pipes & Drums, whose dedication and leadership have helped keep the centuries-old musical tradition alive in the community.
