RCMP Ask for Public’s Help Solving Deadly Home Invasion in B.C.’s Shuswap
Investigators say the suspects fled in a black Chrysler 300 sedan that was later found burned, and police are asking witnesses for video.
- On Friday, July 17, three suspects broke into a residence in the 100 block of Fourth Street SE in Salmon Arm around 3 a.m., where a resident was fatally shot during an altercation.
- RCMP Sgt. Vanessa Munn stated the suspects, believed to be two males and one female, fled the scene in a black Chrysler 300 sedan after the incident.
- Investigators located the burned getaway vehicle at the Kelly Mountain Recreation Site on Friday evening, featuring three matching wheels and one solid steel wheel on the rear passenger side.
- The Salmon Arm RCMP General Investigation Section is pursuing all available leads and requesting public assistance from anyone who witnessed the vehicle before it was abandoned.
- Police warn the public not to approach the suspects and urge residents to call 911 immediately if they are spotted.
