Holyoke kicks off Black History Month with ceremony and song

HOLYOKE — With 2026 marking a century of national Black history commemorations, Holyoke will observe Black History Month with a flag-raising ceremony and a gospel music performance on Monday, Feb. 2.The flag-raising will take place at 3:30 p.m. outside City Hall and is open to the public, a statement from Holyoke Mayor Joshua A. Garcia’s office said.
