Hokuriku Shinkansen Temporarily Suspends Service Between Nagano and Toyama Due to Strong Winds (Kyodo News)

At around 3:40 p.m. on the 4th, the Hokuriku Shinkansen suspended service on both the up and down lines between Nagano and Toyama due to strong winds. After the wind subsided, service resumed at around 5:25 p.m. According to JR East, an anemometer located between Iiyama in Nagano Prefecture and Joetsu-Myoko in Niigata Prefecture reached the regulatory limit. A total of five trains (both up and down lines) were affected.
