Hoda Kotb Makes Surprise Return to ‘Today’ for Special Celebration
Kotb said Joy 101’s retreats sold out fast, with 250 spots filled and 7,000 people on the waitlist.
On Friday, May 29, 2026, Hoda Kotb returned to the fourth hour of Today to celebrate the one-year anniversary of her wellness company, Joy 101, joined by co-hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones.
After departing her full-time role in January 2025, Kotb has returned periodically to Today to share human interest stories and updates on her entrepreneurial ventures.
Reflecting on Joy 101's rapid growth, Kotb noted the team has expanded to 15 people since she began building it brick-by-brick, expressing gratitude for balancing work with family.
Demand for Joy 101 retreats is exceptionally high, with 7,000 people on the waitlist after 250 spots sold out, prompting Jenna Bush Hager to praise Kotb as an ambassador for joy.
Future expansion includes developing a curriculum for Virginia Tech and hosting Joy Fest in 2027, a major event Kotb noted she is very excited about for the rest of this year and beyond.
