(Dan Tri) - The fire at Doc Lap apartment building has raised alarm that many old apartment buildings in Ho Chi Minh City are in a state of serious degradation, with "tiger cages" tightly packed and no escape routes in case of fire or explosion.
Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong assigned the Department of Construction to urgently coordinate with the People's Committees of wards to develop a plan to renovate and rebuild 31 old apartment buildings in 2025.
