Hit-and-run driver arrested after running over N.J. man, police say

An alleged hit-and-run driver who police say seriously injured a pedestrian in Pleasantville on Tuesday was arrested a couple of blocks away, officials said. The vehicle struck a 56-year-old Egg Harbor Township man near the corner of North Main Street and East Reading Avenue just before 3 p.m., Pleasantville police said. A witness saw the victim on the hood of the vehicle before he was run over, according to police.
