A HaberExcavations conducted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism at the ancient city of Aspendos have unearthed the Eastern Necropolis, whose existence was discovered for the first time, and a chest-type tomb dating back to the 5th century BC. Coins depicting wrestlers and other objects found in the tomb suggest that the person buried may have been an athlete from Aspendos.
Archaeologists carrying out excavations in the ancient city of Aspendos in southern Turkey have discovered a box-type tomb dating from the last quarter of the 5th to 4th centuries BC, in a part of the monument that had never been documented before.
