Haryana: Sanitation workers’ union chief arrested for attack on Hisar MC staff

Garbage Collection Row in Hisar: The ongoing dispute over door-to-door garbage collection in Hisar has now escalated to arrests. Surendra, alias Golu, president of the Municipal Corporation Safai Karamchari Union, has been arrested by the Civil Lines police station for allegedly attacking and vandalizing a garbage collection vehicle.
The police have taken major action in the case of an attack on municipal employees, breaking of vehicle windows, and obstruction of government work during a door-to-door cleaning campaign in Hisar's Sector 13 market.
