Hikers attacked by cow on heath near Ede, taken to hospital

Natuurmonumenten confirms the 'nasty' incident, but says that it is rare for a cow to attack people

Two people were injured on the heathland near Otterlo on Friday afternoon. A rare Spanish Sayaguesa cow attacked them, presumably to protect her calves. According to a bystander, the two allegedly approached the animals to take pictures.
