- The new toll calculation method determines the fee by either multiplying the length of the highway section excluding structures plus ten times the length of the structures, or by five times the entire length of the highway section, whichever amount is smaller.
- For example, a 40 km highway section with all structure length would tally to 400 km by the first method and 200 km by the second, so tolls will be based on the lesser 200 km length.
- This revision lowers toll costs substantially for highways with costly infrastructure, reflecting the Ministry's intent to offset high construction expenses while reducing travel expenses for users.
