The Spike Lee film 'Highest 2 Lowest' premiered with a star-studded red carpet event highlighting fashion and anticipation for its Aug. 15 release, officials said.
- On August 11, 2025, Denzel Washington, A$AP Rocky and Ice Spice stepped out at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Harvey Theater in New York City for the premiere.
- Based on the 1963 Japanese drama High and Low, the film is an English-language reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s story, set to debut August 15 in theaters.
- The star-studded event featured both the director and ensemble cast, including Jeffrey Wright, Ilfenesh Hadera, Dean Winters, and John Douglas Thompson.
- On the carpet, Spike Lee said `It feels great, and I hope and pray we get one more, at least one more`, and Ilfenesh Hadera explained `I could work with him every day for the rest of my life.`
