The government announced on Monday that it would strictly apply the differentiated tuition fees in universities for non-community students.

Students have not yet managed to pay all the 3,941 euros of fees reserved for non-Europeans to register at the University of Strasbourg. A huge sum for people who often come from very poor countries. Five students concerned speak about their situation as they approach the end of the academic year.

The Minister of Higher Education Philippe Baptiste wants extra-Community students to pay higher fees than French or European students, in a context of financial fragility of universities.
