'High-quality' UK pizza company collapses into administration after 34 years
The pizza dough maker owed creditors £1.5 million after posting a £1.7 million profit, according to Companies House.
On Monday, June 8, 2026, Millennium Dough Company entered administration after 34 years operating in Greenford, West London. The artisan frozen pizza dough producer specializes in serving restaurants and food service companies.
Despite generating a £1.7 million profit in the year to October 2024, the company owed creditors £1.5 million, nearly double the £751,052 debt from 2023. This mounting liability gap triggered the administration filing.
Joint administrators Nicholas Charles Simmonds and Chris Newell from Quantuma Advisory Limited were appointed to manage operations. They must formulate restructuring proposals "within 8 weeks" under the statutory process.
A statutory moratorium grants the company "breathing space" to restructure while continuing operations. Administration will automatically conclude after 12 months under the Insolvency Act 1986 unless court extensions are sought.
The closure reflects a broader crisis on the UK high street, where major retailers including LK Bennett and Claire's closed all stores in April after entering administration. The sector faces sustained pressure.
