- On Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, Austin-based AI security startup HiddenLayer closed a $100 million Series B funding round led by Delta-v Capital and Ten Eleven Ventures, with participation from Morgan Stanley, Microsoft's M12, and Booz Allen Hamilton.
- Gartner estimates companies will spend $2.83 billion this year on AI security tools, representing an 83% increase over 2025 and reflecting enterprise urgency to protect rapidly expanding AI deployments from threats.
- HiddenLayer CEO Chris Sestito reported annual recurring revenue grew more than 10x over the past year, with the company signing more than 50 new platform customers across financial services, defense, and intelligence communities.
- The company recently named Mike Gesnaldo as Chief Revenue Officer and will use the funding to deepen its Agentic Runtime Security and Agent Harness Security offerings while expanding into Europe and the wider EMEA region.
