Hidden Valley Ranch Part of Recall in 27 States over 'Foreign Objects'

- On December 17, 2025, Ventura Foods, the California-based manufacturer, recalled 3,556 salad dressing cases sold across 27 states to retailers including Costco and Publix.
- After discovering `black plastic planting material` in granulated onion, Ventura Foods initiated the recall on Nov. 6, which the FDA classified as Class II on Dec. 4.
- The recalled products list shows particular one-gallon and service SKUs including Ventura Caesar dressing, Pepper Mill Regal and Creamy Caesar dressings, and Hidden Valley one-gallon service items distributed to seven retail customers at 42 store locations.
- Consumers in the 27 affected states should check their dressings for matching SKUs and lot codes, retailers advised stopping consumption and offering refunds, and Ventura Foods acted urgently to remove impacted products.
- Hidden Valley said no retail Hidden Valley Ranch products sold in stores are included in the recall, and Newsweek and News Digital sought comment from Ventura Foods and retailers on Wednesday.
