Following the Ukrainian model, the Home Guard is experimenting with new ways to defend the country: Small-scale improvisation. Right now, soldiers are practicing with self-made sensors against simulated attackers in Södertälje. “We are trying to be at the forefront. Technological development is so fast that we need to find new systems,” says Magnus Sjölund, head of the Home Guard's combat school.
