Henry “Butch” Stille, 83, of Greensburg, passed away on June 15, 2026. Born on January 12, 1943, in Batesville, Indiana, he was the son of John and Maxine (Jackson) Stille. Butch was a graduate of Greensburg Community High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Lexington during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Butch married Helen Bainbridge on February 26, 1966, and together they built a loving family and raised two children, Kimberly and Rick. An outdoorsman at heart, Butch loved riding motorcycles and his classic cars, a true gearhead. He was a founder of Tree City Classics and spent countless hours restoring, maintaining, and proudly shining his classic cars. Butch enjoyed spending time with family and friends and could often be found playing cards, golfing, hunting, fishing, enjoying happy hour at Piddler’s Paradise, or trying his luck at the casino with his wife.

Henry “Butch” Stille, 83, of Greensburg, passed away on June 15, 2026. Born on January 12, 1943, in Batesville, Indiana, he was the son of John and Maxine (Jackson) Stille. Butch was a graduate of Greensburg Community High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Lexington during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was always ready for a good time and treasured every opportunity to make memories with those he loved. Butch was a member of American Legion Post 129 and the Conservation Club. He worked as a machinist at BCA until his retirement. Survivors include his children, Kim (Bernie) Meyer and Rick (Jennifer) Stille; grandchildren, Courtney (John) Crowe, Logan (Haley) Meyer, Bailey (David) Narwold, Ezra Stille, and Lyric Stille; great-grandchildren, Colton, Corbin, Canaan, Everett, Harper, Lenore and one on the way; and brother, Bill (Victoria) Stille. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Helen; two brothers; and three sisters. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date at South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.gilliland-howe.com Butch will be remembered for his love of family, his adventurous spirit and witty humor, his dedication to his friends, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
