In Senegal, at least four people died in Dakar as a result of the floods and heavy rain that fell on the capital on Sunday 4 October: more than 140 mm fell in 24 hours in some neighbourhoods, enough to cause flooding, collapse of walls and partially block the capital until Monday night.
