The government will proceed with a dual plan of successive interventions in the fuel market, attempting to limit the burdens caused to households by the new increase in energy costs. The burden falls primarily on heating oil, with a direct subsidy at the pump and an increase in the heating allowance, while there will also be intervention in diesel fuel.
