The third season of the upcoming adaptation series of The Last of Us in 2027 on HBO Max will indeed be the last, according to the boss of the SVOD platform.
HBO CEO Casey Bloys spoke at the Emmys after-party that he believes The Last of Us will end with Season 3, which Craig Mazin had planned as the final season. The next season will debut in 2027 and will focus on Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) instead of Bella Ramsey's Ellie.
