Météo-France has recorded on Tuesday a new country-wide temperature record for a month of May with a national thermal indicator at 24.8°C. On Wednesday, mercury must climb up to 30 to 35°C, locally 38°C.
The orange vigilance will expand on Wednesday, with a total of 13 departments placed on alert in the west of the country. Temperatures are expected to remain abnormally high until Sunday.
