The Federal Centre of Health Care (KCE) advises against expanding the current breast cancer screening program. Currently, women aged 50 to 69 receive an invitation for a free mammogram every two years. Screening younger or older women, or an additional ultrasound, yields insufficient additional health benefits, says the Centre of Knowledge. "The limited benefits do not outweigh the disadvantages."
