A shortage of almost one million professionals, including nurses and doctors, is expected by 2030. The European Parliament is highlighting the need for the EU to address healthcare staff shortages and inadequate working conditions. On Thursday, Parliament tabled its proposals to strengthen healthcare systems and improve employment conditions in the healthcare sector with 514 votes in favour, 61 against and 33 abstentions.
