West Nile virus, or West Nile Virus, is an arbovirus transmitted by mosquitoes. It can cause serious neurological damage in humans.

The condition of a 76-year-old infected with the West Nile virus is critical, said the director of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Skopje, Fadil Cana.
