The results published by Santé publique France on Wednesday, 16 September, are bound to increase, as the collection of data is not yet complete. The excess mortality of this third summer heat wave has mainly affected people over 75 years of age.
The balance sheet is set to grow, as the figures still need to be consolidated - the collection is not completed - and as it does not yet take into account the entire summer. The monitoring period is from 1 June to 15 September.
