HD Hyundai Joins Forces with U.S. Shipbuilder for Vessel Construction

- Tampa Ship, a facility under Edison Chouest Offshore based in Tampa, Florida, boasts a rich history in shipbuilding and is equipped to accommodate vessels weighing up to 150,000 DWT and measuring as long as 900 feet.
- HD Hyundai will contribute ship design support, equipment procurement, fabrication of ship blocks, and invest in technical infrastructure to enhance Tampa Ship’s capabilities.
- Both parties intend to expand their cooperation into other vessel classes, heavy industrial port equipment, and possibly icebreakers, aiming to strengthen U.S. shipbuilding competitiveness globally.
