Hazardous chemicals found in Western Mass. home lead to detonation at nearly midnight

Loud noises were heard in Ludlow at nearly midnight when hazardous materials were detonated after old, unstable chemicals were found Monday.On Nov. 3, the Ludlow Fire Department responded to Fuller Street for a report of possible hazardous materials in a home. A resident told firefighters he was unsure how to dispose of old chemicals that he had in storage.
