DEA ‘Zeroing in on Potential Drug Dealer’ Tied to Hayden Panettiere’s Death
Investigators are focusing on a possible drug supplier as toxicology results remain pending and Hickerson has met with federal agents, sources said.
Brian Hickerson, the boyfriend of actor Hayden Panettiere, is communicating with the Drug Enforcement Administration as authorities investigate her death last month.
Panettiere was found dead at a South Carolina rental home in August, where Hickerson and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were present; emergency crews discovered Narcan at the property.
The Greenville Coroner reported medics performed life-saving measures for "an extended amount of time" before the actor was pronounced dead, with autopsy findings showing no signs of trauma.
Hickerson has not been charged with any crime, though authorities continue interviewing others to piece together events; his attorney, Sloan Ellis, emphasized it is "important" to allow investigators to proceed.
Investigators await toxicology results to determine the exact cause of the 36-year-old actor's death, while friends and family have expressed concerns about her relationship with Hickerson, who previously pleaded no contest to domestic violence offenses.
Almost four weeks after the sudden death of Hayden Panettiere, the case is still unsolved. Now, the US drug agency DEA intervenes – and a possible trail leads to a suspected drug dealer.
