Hanover Park Volleyball to Support 'Strong Mommas' Battling Cancer

During Giovanna Pignataro’s seventh-grade volleyball season, she knew her mom, Cristina, would always be in the bleachers. It didn’t matter that Cristina Pignataro was battling Stage 2 metastatic breast cancer, and going through what she described as “red devil intense chemotherapy.” She was always there for her twins: Giovanna and Isabella, from volleyball in the fall to softball in the spring.
