An ultra-high voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission line connecting Hami in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to Zhengzhou in central China's Henan Province has set a new record by transmitting over 10,000 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity this year as of March 16, marking a year-on-year increase of 11.2 percent.
