Hamburg: Thieves Steal 15 Tons of Walnuts – and Offer Bribes to Buy

In Hamburg, a gang of thieves stole a complete container load of walnuts. However, when they wanted to make them money, they were very dilettante.

Following the theft of 15 pallets of walnuts weighing approximately 15 tons, police in Hamburg have arrested twelve members of a gang. According to officials, the crime was committed on Tuesday night.

The thieves offered the stolen goods to the owner of the business, who quickly became suspicious and notified the police.

In Hamburg-Veddel, police officers arrested twelve men who allegedly stole a container load of walnuts. The crime took place on the night of May 20 between 21:00 and 8:30 on a company site in Peutestraße. The thieves had stolen around 2,800 kilograms of walnuts from a semi-trailer.
