According to Yle, Finland does not intend to contribute to the US-NATO deal that involves the purchase of weapons for Ukraine from the United States. The Minister of Defense confirmed that Finland remains a major supporter of Ukraine, but is assisting the war-torn country through its companies.
Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hjakkianen said that the country will not participate in the new scheme for financing US military assistance to Ukraine through NATO.
According to Minister of Defense Antti Häkkänen (Congress), Finland is focusing on a program in which products are ordered for Ukraine from Finnish companies.
