President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting to discuss the implementation of the Hajj at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (28/9/2026).
The Ministry of Hajj has proposed a 2027 Hajj cost of IDR 107.3 million per pilgrim and said the figure could potentially increase.
The cost of the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage is likely to increase due to the increase in aviation fuel prices. The government is still discussing the cost with the House of Representatives (DPR) and is working to ensure the increase does not impose an undue burden on pilgrims.
Prabowo also gave directions on the composition of BPIH and the value of benefits as part of the Hajj financing formulation so as not to burden society.
