The Municipality of Central Station reported the finding of seven Haitian children living in overcrowded conditions under the care of a guardian, in the framework of the national operation to locate 184 minors whose whereabouts are unknown and who are part of lists handed over by the Government.
The former director of the National Migration Service, Luis Eduardo Thayer (FA), tried to hide himself in a congressional agreement to justify his decision not to require the legalization of the birth certificates of children from Haiti. However, the vote mentioned only refers to the criminal record of Haitian citizens over 5 years of age living in Chile and in no case to the entry of minors.
