A 24-year-old Polish woman, a member of the Sumud Global Flotilla en route to the Gaza Strip with humanitarian aid, was detained in Libya. There has been no contact with the woman for several days. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been informed of the matter. Authorities of the unrecognized government of Eastern Libya have also commented.
Laura Kwoczała, 24, was a member of the Sumud Global Flotilla, which attempted to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip by land. The young Polish woman was among the negotiating group that was detained by Khalifa Haftar's forces. "On Sunday, she wrote that they were about to leave for further negotiations. She never returned," says Laura's mother.
