A new phishing campaign is targeting Signal users by attempting to steal their backup recover

Users of the Signal Private Messaging app are the target of a new phishing campaign that seeks to steal backup recovery keys alluding to an alleged synchronization failure.

Attackers try to rob Signal users of their recovery key, a 64-character code that gives access to the entire history of their conversations saved in the cloud. Signal cannot block a restoration done with this key.
