The "GW (Gateway) 2050 PROJECTS Promotion Council," which aims for integrated development of Naha Airport and the land slated for the return of U.S. military bases, is expected to announce its growth strategy at the end of May. The council intends to reflect the plan in the Okinawa Development Plan in conjunction with the interim review of the revised Okinawa Development Special Measures Act (Okinawa Development Act) in fiscal year 2026.
