Gunmen kidnap catholic priest, Seminarian in Edo

Gunmen kidnapped Reverend Philip Ekeli and Seminarian Peter Andrew from St. Peter Catholic Church in Edo State at about 11:30 p.m. On Monday.
One kidnapper was neutralized, and four suspects, including Murtala Ibrahim and Joshua Joseph, were arrested during the police rescue operation.
Police spokesperson Moses Yamu confirmed that items recovered from the attackers included cash, a Tecno phone, and a power bank.
Commissioner of Police Betty Otimenyin has deployed the anti-kidnapping unit to secure the victims' release and capture the abductors' accomplices.
