Guinea: President Will Be Organised by the Ceo, Criticized for Joining the Government

The Guinean government has announced that the Directorate-General for Elections (DGE) will be the body responsible for organizing the presidential elections on 28 December 2025. However, the new Constitution provides for the creation of an "independent technical body" to oversee the electoral processes. The DGE is strongly challenged by the main political parties, who accuse it of lack of dependence, due to its attachment to the executive.
