GUATEMALA CITY (AP) — Guatemalan President Bernardo Arévalo appointed two lawyers as magistrates to the Constitutional Court, thus completing the high court for the next five years.
With the appointment made by President Bernardo Arévalo, the new Constitutional Court of Guatemala for the period 2026-2031 was integrated. The president appointed Anabella Morfín as titular judge and María Magdalena Jocholá as alternate judge before the highest constitutional court of the country, thus completing the election of the new authorities.
