Guatemala embraces its borders with kaibiles, its most feared elite military unit
The president of Guatemala, Bernardo Arévalo, has battled its two borders, in the north with Mexico, and in the south with Honduras and El Salvador. And for this he has sent his most feared elite unit for resorting to the most brutal methods: the kaibiles. According to the military authorities, the measure called Cinturón de Fuego aims to stop the passage of drugs and migrants who seek to reach the United States.
