More than 800 women victims of violence were attended by the Guardiã Maria da Penha Patrol, initiative of the Guarda Civil Municipal de Salvador (GCM), between 2025 and 2026. The team works in the protection of women in situations of violence and in the referral of cases to the municipal network facing violence against women. Currently, the Patrol has 16 agents trained specifically for this type of care.
