Guam primary draws 39.81% turnout as GEC releases unofficial results, schedules Aug. 15 ballot count

By the time polls closed and ballots were tabulated early Sunday morning, nearly four in 10 registered Guam voters had participated in the 2026 primary election, according to unofficial results released by the Guam Election Commission.

The Democratic ticket of Therese Terlaje and Sabina Perez, and the Republican team of Tony Ada and Edward J. Calvo, will advance to the November gubernatorial election after winning the Aug. 1 primaries, which had a 39.81 percent voter turnout.
