Guadalajara often called the most Mexican city in the country is ready to host a third World Cup
Guadalajara is often called the most Mexican city in the country by its people and has hosted the World Cup twice before, in 1970 and 1986.
Authorities and FIFA officials are confident in Guadalajara's security for the upcoming World Cup.
In March, Guadalajara safely hosted two intercontinental playoff matches with over 80,000 fans attending without incident.
To manage transportation, the city launched the 'Ride al Estadio' shuttle program for ticket holders, as taxis and public transit to the stadium are restricted.
The people of Guadalajara like to presume that it is the most Mexican city in the country. And maybe they are right. After all, the state of Jalisco, where the city of the west is located, is the cradle of mariachi and tequila.
