More than 700 firefighters are battling the Greer Fire in northeastern Arizona. The blaze has already burned more than eight thousand hectares. The region is under a local state of emergency. Emergency services are evacuating residents from the most vulnerable areas.

“The Greer Fire has burned thousands of acres of land, destroyed multiple structures, and forced families to leave their homes,” said Gov. Katie Hobbs.
