GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) -- Today, the Greenville Police Department wants to recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, and serves as a powerful reminder of the past, and the progress that’s been made along the way. A reminder that their administrative offices will be closed today in observation of Juneteenth.
City of Greenville holds Juneteenth parade
The city of Greenville hosted the fifth year of a Juneteenth celebration June 19 at 9 a.m. A parade was held from Linky Stone Park to Unity Park along the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail.
