VIENNA. Some retailers stop the sale of adhesive tattoos for children, in which chemicals such as plasticizers, heavy metals and PFAS have been found in a laboratory test carried out by the Chamber of Labour of Upper Austria and the environmental organization Greenpeace.
According to a Greenpeace investigation, up to 31 problematic chemicals – including PFAS, lead, nickel – were found in sticker tattoos intended for children.
In numerous adhesive tattoos for children, problematic chemicals such as plasticizers, heavy metals and PFAS have been detected. First large retail chains now react and remove the affected products from the shelves.
